This parody was… interesting. The use of satire was obvious in their looks and lyrics, using similar camera angles and outfits to recreate a scene that looks similar to the actual One Direction video. Though it wasn’t the exact same scenery, it got the point across. Nice try as far as looks in the parody video, but no one is going to be able to look better than Harry Styles.
Parodies always impress me because it takes a lot of creativity to pull them off, something that I often seem to lack. Being that One Direction has been such a major hit in the teenage girl world, this makes them an easy target when it comes to re-enacting their videos or doing dubs to their songs. This group of guys did a great job at making a hilarious stab at the group. Trying to dress the part and use similar locations made it more compatible, but I think it was funny to see how their lyrics were mocking not only the video, but the group itself. But, their song was not as catchy as the original, so One Direction seems to be in the lead to tell us just what makes us beautiful.
I thought this was a creative parody. A lot of parodies are very generic but this one was cool as they also attempted to recreate the entire video. They dressed like the members of the band and then mocked them which made for a good laugh.
